About

Jane Brodsky

Jane Brodsky has lived in Washington, DC for over a decade. Jane grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from the University of Michigan and Georgetown University Law Center. After graduating from Georgetown she worked on campaigns, in Congress, and as a consultant until she left politics to open Red Bow Studio on Capitol Hill in 2010.

Jane found barre after a chronic injury took her off of the tennis courts in 2009 and can't imagine life without it. She lives close to Biker Barre with her husband, daughter, their two cats, and more Elmos than should legally be allowed in one place.

Katie Geffken (nee Fouts)

At the age of 22 and 200 lbs, Katie Geffken took the steps needed to become healthier and happier – a major part of that was finding indoor cycling. More than 50 lbs and 9 years later, Katie is bringing her passion for indoor cycling to Washington, DC through Biker Barre.

Originally from Cleveland, OH, Katie has made Washington her home. Falling in love with Washington out of undergrad, Katie pursued a career in marketing that took her away from the city. She earned her M.B.A. at the University of Michigan and held a series of Mad Men-style jobs before finally making it back to the District.

Now Katie lives in Capitol Hill and when she's not instructing bike classes at Biker Barre, she's most likely feeding her caffeine addiction at one of the Hill's many great coffee shops, out on a run, or cheering on the Michigan Wolverine football team.
